Jerome Stevens Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented, and experienced Pharmaceutical Purchaser for Company procurement, shipping/receiving, and inventory control activities.
Job Requirements
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Quickbooks Enterprise
Experience in MS Dynamics, a plus
Min. 3-year pharmaceutical industry experience
Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally
Extremely organized. Strong follow-up ability, multi-tasking and time-management skills
Persistent and self-starter – working with minimal supervision.
Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
Familiarity with both Mac and PC environments
Current and proficient in trends, concepts, technologies, and best practices within profession
In-Office Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 6:00pm (occasional OT on Friday)
Job Responsibilities
The Pharmaceutical Purchaser, as appropriate, is responsible for collaborating with office and production staff in supporting procurement, shipping/receiving, inventory control, warehouse management, and intra-facility logistics and transport functions. Individual must be active and organized both on the floor and office utilizing provided technology and tools to ensure compliant and efficient activities. Active communication and collaboration are essential to the position as well as a willingness to support overall operations.
Coordinates all supply chain processes for purchasing and shipping/receiving within the pharmaceutical industry
Responsible for daily purchasing of pharmaceutical products and materials (e.g., raw materials, packaging components, laboratory supplies) from approved vendors including requesting quotations and preparing purchase orders and change orders from approved requisitions
Responsible for obtaining critical details (lot#, expiry, availability) before placing orders with vendors
Develop, build and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors and suppliers and all internal departments
Researches and evaluates products and suppliers while performing analyses on costs and supplier quotes
Works cross-functionally across multiple departments within the organization
Assist with inventory control
Maintaining full documentation of every order
Experience with Purchase Orders & Product Inventory a must
Maintain and organize all vendor files and submit weekly reports
Be responsible for special projects and other assignments as and when directed
Detailed-Oriented & Expert in Microsoft Excel, experience in ERP or similar software
Strong email and communication capabilities

Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
FDA Regulations
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
General Warehouse Management experience
Hi-Lo and forklift experience, a plus
MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Quickbooks Enterprise
